Plan the lawn

Measure the whole area, its steepest section and the narrowest route the mower will use. A wire installation also needs the length of the perimeter route, including any islands. That length is rounded to complete rolls. Satellite-reference and vision systems are treated separately rather than being given unnecessary wire.
